Whistle Stop Playground
Whistle Stop Park stands on the site of a former train depot and rail yard. Although Spring Lake Depot closed in 1957, the city wanted to include the area’s rich history in its new playground, including a train theme in the design. In this play space, children can visit the ticket booth, learn about weather events that might affect their journeys, play with the clock at the depot, and climb aboard the colorful train car! Once they arrive at their destinations, children can ride the Revolution Inclusive Spinner, bounce on the Team Totter, or climb aboard the N-R-G Builders® structure. Colorful, exciting, and with something for children of all abilities, Whistle Stop Park is sure to keep Spring Lake’s history alive for another generation.
